@two.rabbit.rescue: In July, a striped tabby named Katie (ID A2270218) was days from euthanasia at East Valley Animal Shelter. She'd been adopted and returned twice for biting and scratching when she got overstimulated, and the shelter's notes said she needed someone experienced. We pulled her on her last available date. Before we could even get her to an emergency foster, her furever family found her. She did bite and scratch in those first couple of days, after a loud noise scared her. Her mom gave her a short timeout to decompress, and they went right back to snuggling. They named her Yuuki, which means "courage." ✨ Two months later, her mom says she's lost every trace of the aggression the shelter wrote her up for. She naps on her mom whenever she's home, plays with a catnip bunny (the first thing that finally got her playing), and avoids heights so much her family asks her if she knows she's a cat. 💜 Shelters label cats like Yuuki aggressive when they're scared, overstimulated, or never learned to trust people. Most of them need time and a quiet home, not a euthanasia date. Apply to foster or adopt, or donate to help us pull the next one, through the link in our bio or directly at https://linktr.ee/2rabbitrescue - we bring needed supplies and transport anywhere in CA, AZ and NV. 🚙 Likes, comments, and shares put this post in front of more people, which helps more cats like Yuuki find homes. 💕 #CatRescue #AdoptDontShop #FosterCats #LACats #RescueCatsOfTikTok @Bunniesofeastvalley @LorraineLopezLoves
