@favoruk1: One year ago today, on 9 October 2025, SNP and Scottish Green MSPs voted to defeat the Right to Addiction Recovery (Scotland) Bill at Holyrood. The bill was rejected by 63 votes to 52, with Scottish Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat MSPs supporting it. The vote took place at Stage 1, meaning the bill was defeated before MSPs could consider detailed amendments. A week previous on 2 October 2025: The Scottish Parliament approved the general principles of the Dog Theft (Scotland) Bill, allowing it to proceed to Stage 2.
