Go ice skating, the rink in Ashland was closed last year but it will be open longer this year, mix coffee shop is great they have great croissants and hot chocolate plus good snowboarding places just outside of town if that’s your thing almost all the restaurants in Ashland are good nothing I would avoid just Medford isn’t the cutest town if you wanna have the best experience stay in Ashland, you can look it up online cause I don’t know the date but being here for the lighting ceremony downtown is one of the best parts of December i recommend 😋

go stay at callaghan’s lodge! there should be snow up there during december and it’s a short ways from the ski resort. they have a nice restaurant with good food and jacuzzi’s in the rooms. affordable too! my bf and i went there for our anniversary a couple years back. it’s beautiful!

Best part of Ashland is Lithia park! Almost a hundred acres of trails and fountains and gardens and ponds. But it’s far from its peak in winter when the kids aren’t splashing in the creak and everyone picnicking in the lawn

As far as cheap places to stay and food to get, there are tons of bed and breakfasts places all around town. Lithia park is fun to walk to and even walking around downtown window shopping is fun. Cheap food really depends as a lot of places I know have a range between cheap options and expensive ones. Hiro ramen and rubys are really good though.

Stay at Ashland springs hotel, or the peerless hotel. Cocorico, tlali, Kobe are good fancy eat spots. We have the Oregon Shakespeare festival here but they don’t have shows playing in December so I would check out the Oregon cabaret theater if you want to go see a show. They do a dinner and show option and the food is themed around the show usually. If you enjoy wineries, Irvine and Robert’s is a good choice.
