This is what happens when you build a city on top of tidal marshlands. This area always used to flood with the tides but we built seawalls and raised the elevation. Now eight the El Niño, sea level rise and degraded infrastructure, it’s happening again. Mother Nature is taking back what is hers

It's not just the king tide, that's just the final push. The real culprit is the Kelvin wave raising our baseline sea level for weeks. The tide is just riding on top of it.

I work for a municipality water department that is the worst thing you can do is walk in that water it is filled with bacteria chemicals one little cut any open exposure be it the mouth nose could be disastrous

It’s not king tide….the high tide today was only 5.71ft ….. king tide is 7 ft!!!! Tomorrow and Sunday will be respectively higher tides!!! 😳

Water is dirty!!! It is mixing with the sanitary pipes!!!! The long standing water areas will have piss water migrate to it from the sanitary manholes.
