BANGTAN AS HORROR. 1/7. JEONGGUK AND GHOSTFACE. Why jeongguk as ghostface you may ask? Jeongguk as Ghostface just makes sense to me because of how much he loves film, editing, and media. The Scream movies are literally built around killers who are obsessed with horror movies, use their knowledge of them to plan their murders, and take inspiration from the fictional killers they watch. Ghostface is always referencing horror tropes, testing people’s knowledge of slasher films, and treating real life like a horror movie. Jeongguk is someone who constantly consumes media and draws inspiration from what he watches, so I think that connection makes him the perfect fit for Ghostface. Taehyung makes the most sense as Jeongguk’s accomplice because of his unpredictable, playful nature and his love for darker, artistic concepts. He has this naturally mysterious, almost unreadable side that makes him hard to figure out, which fits Ghostface’s whole identity. In Scream, the accomplice is often the one you least suspect, hiding behind a charming personality. Jeongguk has the movie obsession, but Taehyung has the unpredictability to match him. Don’t worry, Taehyung will have his own part as well!! Happy October! 🎃
