@pbsnews: Dr. Jonathan Rosand, the founder of the Global Brain Care Coalition, developed the Brain Care Score as an assessment to help people lower their risk for dementia, stroke and depression. The Brain Care Score measures 12 physical, lifestyle and social factors that impact brain health. Managing these factors — including stress management, building social relationships and finding meaning and purpose in life — can help prevent the onset of dementia. Rosand shared with Horizons host William Brangham how doctors and patients can discuss this aspect of dementia prevention. Horizons from PBS News, dives into the science, health, technology and environmental issues making headlines each week.
