It’s crazy how many people really don’t understand things like a fawn response, a freeze response, or the way sometimes trauma messes with your head and you go through denial about it. People really think victims only deserve justice if they respond 100% perfectly in the way they’re expected to. There’s no room for the reality of how a person is actually going to feel right after going through something like that.
