it’s just confirmation bias. people are seeing the game get better after she left as a confirmation that she was holding it back. like she literally said during sprouts totw devlog that they were overhauling the coding to allow for more unique gameplay mechanics to be added. she absolutely had a hand in a some of the features that we see today, but obviously she wasn’t the only one who helped/came up with said ideas.

Qwel wasn't a lead dev for a long time before her leaving the team. And also all these mechanics that were 'stuns' were only pseudo-stuns, soulvester's new ability is the first one to get a real stun as a mechanic

finally, I agree, but another thing that pisses me off is the fact I saw someone wishing qwel to permanently quit, im not on either side currently but isn't dandy's world technically qwels game? she was one of the only first creators, and before you say "well it's blush crunch now!" that's her group too, im not on her side but god people need to understand it's her game? even if she's problematic it doesn't magically make her not the creator of the game.

I hate that everyone has collectively forgotten before everything came out, in a devlog she did make the claim the team was pushing to get the game out of Alpha. I didn't get why people were saying the quality of life updates like the improved settings, the break room, and adjustments to toons on TOTWs were attempts to win players back... like guys... They've BEEN working on these. They can't just make all that stuff in just a couple days. I'm amazed we got totws at all now looking at the Halloween event currently.

In this perspective yes, your point is right, but what is for sure is that Qwelver is TEMPORARILY no longer part of the dev team, so the future updates probably won't be made by Qwel unless she shows back, as no employee has gotten contact with her for months after the second statement
