I worked for nearly 35 years at Eli Lilly and over those decades, we put up with very poor pay And tons of stress because of a lifetime of free health insurance, a pension and an occasional free lunch at any of the plant sites. They took away the free lunch. They took away the free health insurance, the free drugs, and the pensions were a sliver of what they had promised. And no longer can you just use your retiree badge to go in to a Lilly cafeteria for a meal, you have to have an active employee “escort” (monitor) you the entire time you are on campus. We know all about not getting anything except “don’t let the door hitch on the way out”.

correct big companies don't owe any employee anything other than pay check and respect.... BUT Showing appreciation to employees for loyalty and hard work builds a company to be great . plan appreciation goes a long way

Same thing working for extendicare care home been there 45 years and not at top wage cause they say they don’t add up mat leave vacation etc so basically no one will ever make to wage. Back breaking work cleaning someone shit and don’t even have a pension

Mt dad owned a company... and stated no one can run a company behind a desk. my dad worked side by side wit his employees. and each employee was paid differently. if someone worked Harder and stayed longer paid them more.
