70 years ago that's how my grandma found out my aunt had it before they fully understood it. no one wanted to listen to her but she aggressively advocated for her baby that something was wrong and and it saved her life. it's crazy to me that it's still the best way to diagnose it early on and that more people aren't aware of it 😭

My little brother had this when he was 17 months old. Waaay back in '93. We were lucky then and we had an amazing doctor who had him in surgery the following day. Thankfully for him it was localised to the eye itself.

My cousin is a retinoblastoma survivor! Diagnosed at about a year old and she is now 45. Praise the Lord for St Jude.

Your kid's doctor is meant to check for this. They even checked at the hospital after my babies were born and at every pediatrician visit since. Dis your Dr. not check?

I was in a DD group on fb for my son and somebody posted a pic with a flash on & their baby has the same white spot and the comments saved that babies life. She immediately rushed her to the er and found out she had cancer. I think about her so much. I believe she’s in remission and doing so well. She was only a few month old at diagnosis, I believe she’s 3 now 🥺

Retinoblastoma mama here and my sons didn’t reflect in images at first. I caught it just with light reflection in our living room and he still had both red reflection.. thank god we pushed for a specialist. We’re going into cycle 7 of IAC chemo 🙏🏼💛🎗️

This is exactly how I found out my cousin had retinoblastoma at 2 years old , I took a close picture of him with the flash and his eye looked almost like a marble , I thin took my flash light and put it to his eye and he had no reaction the next day we took him to the hospital and he was diagnosed, he did have to get his eye remove and go through chemo but he is now 16 years old in the 11th grade and is the best kid ever ❤️. Yup they never told me they didn’t see the red reflux on both my son’s eyes at 4 months old this mama knew something was wrong … he was born blind in left eye and NO dr picked it up ….. INSANE
