Nazo! I also don’t tithe. I donate annually to an orphanage and I volunteer regularly. That’s my tithe and I am dying on that hill. The church will never get 10% of my hard earned money on a monthly basis

she's absolutely right. The bible wants us to empower ourselves because we already have the resources (hands and brains). God will multiply the work of your hands. However it's important to tithe especially if you already have a dedicated church. This is to support the livelihood of the pastor because in some cases they don't have any other job but to manage a church. If you don't have a church yet give to homeless people, orphanages.
