My 33 month old takes a 2 hour nap and goes to bed around 9:30pm but has started waking early when he used to wake around 7:45am. We’ve done his sleep totals, and we see that he goes to bed easily when he skips his nap, however his mood declines drastically and doesn’t get better after a week or two. So we keep the nap. Should we just tough it out and let him be in a bad mood? Or keep naps every now and then? Or just shorten his nap?

My almost 3.5 year old some weeks needs the nap he will nap 30-60 mins and bedtime is fine 8:30pm but then some weeks if he naps the same he won’t go to bed till 9:30/10 and when he doesn’t nap he will go to bed the same time at 8:30. only way he will go to bed at 7:30pm is if we are out and we are in the car driving home and he transfers to his bed. Last night he went to bed at 10pm and woke at 7am happily and I know that’s not a long enough stretch for night time! I’m struggling because I can’t get him on a proper routine and the same body clock everyday!

My daughter has started waking at 5am. I put it down to her baby sister being born last week but it was taking longer to get her to nap than what she was sleeping for. So dropped the nap today for first time, hoping for a better night 🤞 she will be 3 in Feb and never slept a full night yet 😅

My son is 2 and a half and he hasn’t napped since just after Christmas tbh. Now he’s going to bed 7-7 and then if he does happen to nap it’s like 7:30 bedtime… i feel like he’s trying to lure me into a false sense of security 😂😂
