maywekwis :
Be brave enough to let other people heal first before you become part of their story and risk sabotaging how they truly feel or once felt about you.
If you feel like the person you’re currently talking to or dating isn’t fully healed yet, think twice and give it a little consideration, kay beh, ikaw at ikaw lang din ang masakitan sa huli. They may love you, care for you, and want you, but not in the way that you truly deserve.
Because honestly, no one deserves to be loved half-heartedly. No one deserves to be an option when all they ever wanted was to be the person someone was certain about, the person they were longing for, and the person they genuinely chose.
And loving someone while still carrying regrets from the past is another thing. Sometimes, you think you’re ready to love again, only to realize that there are still parts of you that haven’t healed. And without even realizing it, you end up hurting someone who only wanted to love you genuinely.
So please, heal first. Learn to forgive yourself for what happened, make peace with the things you can no longer change, and let go of the love that once hurt you before trying to build something new with someone else.
Because the truth is, you can love someone and still not be ready to love them the way they deserve.
And if you truly care about someone, have the courage to acknowledge that. Sometimes, the kindest thing you can do is to heal first rather than let someone else suffer from the wounds you haven’t learned to heal. 🤍
