@chasingtwistedtails: The forecast for this weekend remains on track as the remnants of Hurricane Isaias will bring a soaking rain to the region overnight Saturday night through Monday morning. The potential for flooding from this upcoming rain appears to be low. This is due to abnormally-dry conditions across most of our region per the latest U.S. Drought Monitor. Rainfall totals will generally be 0.50" to 1" with the higher end totals across the Southern Tier, Pennsylvania, and NE Ohio. In addition to the widespread rain, a strong low-level jet will bring breezy conditions into the region, with wind gusts primarily in the 25 to 35 mph range, though isolated higher gusts up to 40 mph are possible near the Lake Erie shoreline. So if you have any outdoor plans, keep them to Saturday as Sunday will pretty much be a washout and reserved for indoor activities.
