Many believers are taught: Tithe is 10% of your salary. But the key question is: Is this really the original meaning of the Bible? Don't rush to argue yet. Listen to these 3 truths, you will gain discernment, and then receive freedom. 👉 Truth 1: In the Old Testament, tithe was never "money" at all. Leviticus Chapter 27 says it very clearly. At that time, tithes meant farm produce and livestock. Not your monthly salary, and not bank transfers. In those days, most people were farmers, not employees earning a salary. 👉 Truth 2: The curse in Malachi Chapter 3 is not spoken to struggling believers. It was accusing those corrupt leaders who stole food and exploited the poor. The Bible also says, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. Galatians 3:13 tells us: "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us;" You have been redeemed! 👉 Truth 3: The New Testament never commanded that you "must give 10%". Paul said it clearly: "Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity." (2 Corinthians 9:7) Giving in the New Testament is not driven by fear, but driven by love. If your giving comes from pressure, that is not freedom.
