You need to do this with your bottles that are cracked on one side or your bigger jars😅😅

You (probably Thomas) should put up a big canopy during winter so the hole doesn't get buried in snow and you can still dig

Have you asked any of your neighbors if they have these same treasures in their backyard?

I feel like your hole must have been the community dump site. There is no way one household tossed that much. Girl, your treasures are VAST!! ❤️❤️

My uneducated guess is you are in the burn hole. It looks too far from the house for an outhouse and there is so much ash. But, alas, I know nothing.

Every time I see your videos it reminds me of an old house my (now ex) husband and I bought in NC that for years was an old doctors office. We found so many bottles whilst digging footers for a garage my then husband eventually built and my dumbass left the bottles we found on the roof of our old shed when we sold it. Ugh

Historically people used to dump their rubbish (In out houses as you mentioned), but also along back fences, in gullys out the back that lead to creeks nearby to houses, out kitchen windows, behind sheds. Anywhere basically that was convenient to either burn, have washed away in a big rain, or that was out of site.

I am really to ask someone in my area with an old house if they would be willing to rent out sections of their property for me to dig and restore when I am finished !

The thought of people defecting all over your treasures 😆😳🤢 for my own sake, I think they just dug holes exclusively for trash and that’s IT.

Metal detectors users say to go to the back door and walk a few paces away and to the right for a good chance of finding the outhouse. Keep in mind not too far to go in bad weather but far enough to not stink up the house.
