this is how my trainer does lessons, the horse can say no and maybe a different one says yes so you don't know who you are riding but every horse that's is being ridden wants to be, I rode the same horse every time cause he LOVED trails and I let him trail ride the entire hour if he wanted to, we usually got a short trail, stop at the track to run, then back to the trail

God this is so beautiful to see! I love when people treat their animals with genuine respect. He doesn’t want something? Sure thing, and he’s rewarded for being honest no matter how he responds! It doesn’t associate treats with yes or no answers either, just answering at all, so he’s not encouraged to respond in one way or the other just for the treats!

I need horse people to explain certain horse gear to me because my DnD character is a Centaur and in my head, centaurs would absolutely wear shoes and boots and leg covers and full body jackets, and even stuff i probably don't even know about. It would be cool to understand how these things work on real horses and how a fantasy version for a Centaur might work- especially hearing it from someone who knows more than me about the subject of (Centaur applicable) horse gear
