@aris.goldberg: I don’t usually love Michelin meals, and this one changed my mind. César is chef César Ramirez’s own two-Michelin-star tasting menu in Hudson Square, inside a 100-year-old former printing factory at 333 Hudson Street. Before this, he held three Michelin stars at Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare for 11 years. Born in Mexico and raised in Chicago, he trained nine years under David Bouley. His new place earned two stars within five months of opening. The 13-course menu leans on seafood, with Japanese and Mexican roots, and every single course actually tastes incredible. The service, the soundtrack, the whole night was dialed in. Before you book: • Sit at the chef’s counter and watch the kitchen. • Ask about the truffle uni brioche. • Reserve on Resy well ahead. Probably the best Michelin meal I’ve ever had in New York. Send this to whoever owes you a big dinner. 🍽️ #michelinstar #nycrestaurants #nycfoodie #nycfoodies #nyceats

I went and wasn’t impressed. Too many up charges. Tiny wine pours and the sommeliers weren’t knowledgeable at all. Felt like I was sitting through a timeshare presentation.
