@mseliaschicgeek: A five-year-old boy went to school and never came home after a Promethean board fell on him in his Florida classroom. His name was Bellamy. My heart is with his family as they face an unimaginable loss. 💔 As a longtime technology teacher and an advocate for teachers and students, I want to help our school communities take action. Is the smart board in your classroom securely mounted? If you’re unsure, let’s get it checked. I’ve teamed up with Sean Boyce from the Smart Board Guys, whose work I’ve trusted for years. He’s offering FREE wall-mounting safety inspections for schools in NYC and parts of Long Island, coordinated with your administration. An added plus for NYC schools: Smart Board Guys is already registered in NYC DOE’s FAMIS system. 📧 [email protected] Ask your administration to email Sean with your school’s name, location and contact information. Please share this with a teacher, parent or principal. Let’s make sure an accident like this never happens again. Proper installation and safety inspections can help prevent equipment from falling and save lives. 🤍 #prometheanboard #TechnologyTeacher #TeacherAdvocate #StudentAdvocate #mseliaschicgeek
