@amberdeshone_: July 10, 2026. A morning I will never forget 🥹🤍 One part of my cancer journey I haven’t been very open about is the uncertainty surrounding my future fertility. When I was diagnosed at 22 years old, one of the first questions I was asked was by my oncocologist, “Do you want to have children someday?” Of course I did. Being a mom was something I had dreamed of my entire life, but suddenly, that dream felt uncertain. With the possibility of needing radiation depending on how my body responded to chemotherapy, we made the decision to go through IVF before treatment even began to give ourselves the best chance of having a family someday. At a time when I was fighting for my own future, I was also trying to protect the possibility of bringing another life into this world. And then, two years later, after 12 rounds of chemotherapy, so much uncertainty, and countless prayers, God blessed us with something I had dreamed of for as long as I can remember. I wish I could go back and hug that scared 22-year-old girl and show her this exact moment. From praying for my own life to thanking God for the little life growing inside me. What a beautiful reminder that even in the seasons filled with uncertainty, God is still writing our story. I will never take this gift for granted. 🥹🤍 #faith #pregnancy #firsttimemom #cancer
