🤔 Here’s the problem with having satellite based Internet and/or phone service… If you have a disaster on the ground, it is much quicker and easier to fix towers and cables. But there are tens of thousands of pieces of space junk in orbit, plus, strong solar storms are an actual real threat. If anything actually damages or knocks out a large number of satellites which is entirely possible, you could lose your service for months or years because it’s not nearly as easy or quick to fix satellite based systems if they go down.
