You're absolutely right! I think Etsy is great for buyers to be able to discover you, but all of my buyers are from my Social Media, so Etsy fees aren't justifiable for me. I'm working on getting a website going

I have been planning on leaving Etsy as well. Can't get enough traffic to my own website but I am working so hard. The fees are killing me as well. Good Luck to you!!

I had an incredibly successful shop for 4 years. Closed in March. Aside from the fees- the absolute influx of AI slop and cheap dollar store stuff was infuriating. I wanted to buy a set of hand made dice … every top listing was junk and not made by local artists. Such a shame. Glad to hear you’re liking Mayhem - that’s where I’ll be headed when I’m ready to open again.

Honestly, good to know, because I was thinking of opening a shop on Etsy, and sounds like a bad idea. I'll have to check out MM.

Mayhem Market is great so far for me. I decided to fully skip even starting an Etsy because of everything ive seen and heard from those selling on there.

I was a seller on Etsy like 10 yrs ago, I ended up selling my shop to pursue another dream. And now I’m onto another dream lol and I need an online store front again, I will check out your shop and following along to hear about your journey!

The thing about selling on Etsy is that you have to pay attention to your actual profit, not just how many orders you're getting. Between product costs and platform fees, the numbers can look different from what you expected. Learning about Shopify dropshipping made me look at the whole business side of online selling differently. I didn't realize how important it was to understand every cost before choosing a model.

It's frustrating when you make a sale and realise how much gets taken out in fees. I got to a point where I wanted to explore other options, so I tried Shopify alongside marketplaces. It gave me another way to build my business. If you're considering a change too, I'm happy to share my experience.

Etsy constantly takes down my listings as they’re cracking down on spiritual items. It’s so lame. TikTok Shop has worked well for me, but they are buggy and have their own issues, too. I’m so tired, dude 😭

I love this! Thank you so much for sharing. I was on the fence about joining mayhem marketplace cause I hadn’t heard real suppliers reviews. So hearing this coming from an Etsy seller is great. We are a nonprofit trying to earn a little bit of money making handmade sensory items so we are going to go. Send to mayhem marketplace thank you for your review on it.
