@futurelab.x: You were told renting is throwing money away. 💸 But where did that belief come from—and is it actually true? 🏠 #Homeownership #Mortgage #MoneyTok #FinancialHistory #americanhistory

House Decors :
So, if they were renting a house and still decided to go on strike, how would they pay their rent? A landlord isn't going to let them live rent-free for a month. At least with a mortgage, you're working towards owning your home, building equity, and potentially selling it for a handsome profit in the future. A mortgage can be a win-win situation, unless someone is so determined to go on strike that they're willing to put their financial stability at risk.

You're still beholden to your job if you want to keep a roof over your head. By the by, at least when you sell, some if it comes back to you. I've got nothing against people who actually prefer to rent. Less cost overall, no repairs to organize, perform, or pay for, and it can be freeing knowing you can literally walk away at the end of the lease. Nice!
Either way is costly. This post SCREAMS Communism.
