@writtentruths1: Real love is not always found in expensive gifts, romantic vacations, or grand surprises. Sometimes it lives quietly in the smallest details. It is remembering which side of the bed they sleep on. Replacing something before they have to ask. Making their coffee the way they like it. Noticing they are exhausted and taking one thing off their plate. There is something incredibly beautiful about being loved by someone who pays attention to your ordinary life. Because after years together, the greatest gift is not always something you can unwrap. It is knowing someone still notices you. Still listens to the little complaints you forgot you made. Still thinks about how they can make your tomorrow softer than your today. Anyone can show up for the anniversaries and celebrations. The deepest kind of love shows up on random Tuesdays, in tiny gestures nobody else sees. Sometimes "I love you" simply means, "' noticed."#writtentruths1 #fyp
My husband recently left an apple on the counter. I kept working around it, moved it out of my way probably a dozen times. Finally I was so annoyed that I asked him what he was going to do with it and he said "I took it out for you because I know you don't like cold apples". Yup an apple on the counter. That simple gesture meant more than gold or flowers. 27 years married and still in love. ❤️

Thank you for this. My daughter and i are both on fixed incomes, and she 2 teenage boys. This year, as a 63 yr old gramma, I can't afford what they want. I'm doing this with a twist. The 4 of us are getting a hundred bucks, and each of will buy, make, bake, something for each other. It won't be the xbox, or computer or whatever else, but we will all get 4 gifts. At my age, I don't care what it is, but, it will teach them compassion. Thank you for this idea. Now I'm happy about Christmas this year!

One year my husband put a bottle of lavender soft soap in my stocking. I was a little confused but then he said, “you keep saying you don’t like the smell of your soap in the bathroom and I know you like lavender.” It was my favorite gift that year, simply because he had paid attention to my offhanded remarks when getting ready for bed each night. He’s so good at things like that

Even after telling my husband what I wanted for my birthday, he got me something different then got angry at me for not using what he got me! He's now my ex-husband. I wish this sort of love found me.

21 years ago I came home from a really hard day at work. Cried to him about it. The next day I came home to a beautiful HUGE apothecary jar brimming with Good n Plenty candy, it’s my favorite. When I asked about it, he said “on the hard days you can enjoy your favorite candy and forget the hard parts of the day.” We just celebrated 35 years two weeks ago. 🖤

So much of that hits, but I'm stealing this part "Love rarely announces itself when it enters the room" That's good stuff right there!!

But surely you would just fix the problem instead of waiting potentially 11 months not finding your keys or having the hidden heated pad awaiting the big day 😂

A perfect marriage is not finding fault in what the other person does but finding the positives in what the other person needs
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Thank you I genuinely needed this. My husband has just renovated our house for 9 months that is now our home and I just turned 40 and I got flowers and was upset that he got nothing else but I need to appreciate all the hard work he put in and look at what he did as he listened to all the features I wanted

my husband got me a cutlery set for Christmas, I have ADHD and my friend left her fork at our house by mistake once. As she lives very far I didn't get a chance to give it back to her so I just started using it. It became my favourite fork! I could not eat with any other forks anymore, always searching for this one. We tried to find it everywhere, to buy, but there was no luck. One day the fork disappeared, probably accidentally thrown to the bin with scraps. And something that for some people might be a little thing, just a fork, became my daily struggle. Then on Christmas day I opened the box and laughed, he's found the closest set to the fork I've lost, it wasn't the same but it was super close. And now every time I eat my meals I remember that he cared enough, that he didn't dismiss me "BECAUSE ITS ONLY FORK".

It's the small gestures that count. It's not a bunch of flowers once a year and the job is done. The little things mean most in life because someone noticed you.

My partner just does this any day. I’ll mention I need or want something, then it’ll turn up in the post. Within reason of course. Somethings might only cost a few dollars, but it’s really the thought that counts 🥰
