@uzzisautoart: We’ve all heard of rust eating away at metal, but this is what happens when it gets REALLY bad. 😳 While removing the rear windscreen on this car, we discovered just how severe the rust around the frame actually was. The front windscreen came out without any issues, but the rear one was a different story. Half of it was already loose, while the other half was still bonded with Sika. As we started cutting through the remaining sealant, the glass suddenly shattered ! Our suspicion is that the severe corrosion around the frame may have contributed to uneven stress on the glass. Unfortunately, windscreens can be extremely unpredictable when working around heavily rusted areas. This is exactly why proper rust repairs are so important. Rust doesn't just affect the appearance of a car, it can compromise the metal surrounding critical components. #autobody #bodywork #panelbeating #carrepair
