@damashleythebully: Look at the woman God is making me. 🥹❤️‍🔥 There were years I dressed like a man and cut my hair like one because I was afraid of what being seen as a woman might cost me. Sexual assault and molestation put that fear in me while I was still a little girl. Before I could understand my beauty I was already trying to figure out how to hide it. The clothes. The haircut. For me they were protection. I was trying to make myself feel safe in a body that people had hurt. And it breaks my heart knowing how young I was when I started believing I needed to hide myself to be left alone. That little girl deserved safety. She never should have had to change herself to find it. But look at Ashley Nicole now. Letting herself wear what makes her feel beautiful. Letting herself look in the mirror and love the woman looking back. Learning that I can be soft and still have boundaries. Beautiful and still belong entirely to myself. My beauty never gave anybody permission to hurt me. And I’m finally done making it carry the blame. Sometimes I wonder how it took me so long to see what God made. Then I remember how much fear I had to look through. So I’m giving myself grace. However we got here… here we are. God isn’t just in me. He’s ALL OVER ME. His blessings are loud. And so is the joy of a woman who is finally letting herself be seen. I’m proud of the woman I am. And I have so much love for the little girl who fought to get me here. ❤️‍🩹🫂
