@nbcnewyork: Authorities are investigating an accident involving multiple pedestrians in the Bronx on Friday afternoon. Reports of pedestrians struck near Holland and Allerton Avenues started coming in just after 2:30 p.m. According to a law enforcement source, a white Mercedes went speeding through a red light and rammed into two cars stopped ahead of it. Those two cars were pushed into pedestrians standing between them, the source says. The FDNY says it was treating a total of nine patients at the scene; that count, according to a source, includes people who had been in the vehicle and people who had been on the street. Two people were said to be in critical condition, while four were considered in “moderate” condition, and the other three were stable.
