When I played the campaign, there was never big emphasis on the females. It actually balances out with everyone on Bravo Squad. Going into their stories, etc. Don't get me wrong, I wish we got more screen time with Dom and Marcus, but that's not even nothing to extremely gripe over.

I've played all of the gears games and the only problem i have in the entire series is Kate. Not because Kate's female, but because I genuinely don't like her character. Neither mags nor grey are in the new game bother me at all. I wouldn't say that the game ever went "woke" I just feel like they cheapened things after judgement, but I do find E-day to be an excellent return to form
