You won’t be opening the account but the IRS will be opening it up rather you like it or not. The Trump account is honestly good. Better than a 529 since if you are your partner both max it out to $5000 ($45 a week each parent) a year, by the time your kid turns 18. They will have roughly $250k in the account and can use it for college or to buy their first house with. I don’t support trump but this thing I do support him on since it’s better than anything else out there for an account for my child.

Even if you don’t go through trump account you 100% should open some sort of account or trust fund and put $1,000 in it and invest in your child every month so when they’re 18 they don’t end up like we did with parents that saved us nothing
