@meninblazers: New reporting from @bloombergbusiness has revealed that in the early stages of the Premier League’s investigation into Man City, a settlement was discussed between the two sides. With a “sizable financial payment” being the focus instead of relegation or a stripping of titles. However, talks fizzled prior to the guilty verdict by the independent panel.
Obviously they have the $ to pay any fine, only effective punishment would be points/relegation smh

Not surprised they tried - but this is industrial scale cheating- unfair on all other clubs - money doesn’t stop them -punishment needs be wide ranging and appropriate- points for years, relaegted and owners be removed

If a giant fine goes thru, it should be distributes between teams in the top 2 or 3 divisions.

It’s really hard to believe any of this. Also, if true, it’s not a surprise. City don’t believe they’re guilty. They think they can beat them in a real court, not a sham court like the premier league’s tribunal.
