Everyone wants easy, no one thinks that relationships take work anymore. I also feel like it’s the stage of life. Dating in your 40s is not like dating in your 20s. People have work, lives, kids, and in my experience, the men I encounter don’t necessarily want to be a part of my whole life, just bits and pieces. I also feel like I have put in the work, but it’s not reciprocated. I’m not afraid of compromise, I’m not afraid of a relationship… but I am afraid of losing myself for another human being again.

People are so fake and nobody wants to be honest,loyal,trustworthy and have healthy communication.Old school love doesn’t exist anymore it’s sad .The ride or die kind of love .I have a huge heart and nobody I’ve found has a heart like mine.So I gave up .❤️

I think its a combination of both. People are exhausted from being hurt, and that pain has made them less willing to invest the heavy emotional labor required for a healthy relationship
