The device is called a madajet. The anesthesic is pushed through the skin with extremely high pressure. it's not a "poof"

So I work in urology and at least how we do it… not so sure how common this is. I have the option to do it under local (awak and with injectable medication) or under mac (anesthesia through iv). No hate, still weird that they can opt for this and covered my insurance when an IUD has no numbing at most facilities.
