For those comparing to the Palomar. This is not a main line to lure knot This is a bait hook rigging knot. It is intended to be attached to a hook with its own heavier # test mono or flouro leader. it is extremely strong when tied correctly, very easy to swap out if there is a breakage, and also helps to keep your bait straight.

Believe it or not this knot saved me from losing my rod, my rod went in the water and the hook snapped off cuz of the bad knot so I just grabbed my rod out the water

Id only use this for bait setups, lures you should not use it because you’ll get less movement and the lure wont look as lively.

You can add to this flip the loop up then wrap a few times around the hook then put the loop down and wrap a around it a few more times and finish it the same way
