Mine have been leaking since 16 weeks! My bra will have like golf ball sized wet marks in them by the end of the day. I don’t have anything to collect with yet but I’m 28 weeks and I’m hoping to start collecting (not pumping) soon

My doctor said it’s totally not necessary to collect anything because their stomachs are so small when they’re born that the little you produce in the beginning is enough for them, but if you want to collect it it’s best to start around 36 weeks.

I just asked my midwife if I would be able to start wearing collection cups and she recommended to still wait until 37 weeks due to your body still releasing oxytocin while wearing them so it could still cause preterm labor. So def be careful if your dr didn’t give you the okay to do so

Mine leaked starting early in my second trimester and I wore pads bc it ruined all my clothes. Now in my third trimester they have gotten soooo bad that I leak through my padded bra and sweater and I felt wasteful too. Just asked my midwife today and she said Haakas arent the same as pumping and it won’t hurt anything. She was more impressed with how much I’m making so I’m going to keep collecting!

26weeks and leaking like crazy doc said not to collect it or anything yet or pump for colostrum because it can cause early labor, but it feels so wasteful, already having to wear the nursing pads so I’m not leaking all over. But I feel like wearing the collecting cups and putting it into a syringe isn’t bad 🤷🏻♀️
