I keep getting this direction, and my superior is frustrating I haven’t migrated my main role into an ai process. My main role is social media. “I’m sure there’s an ai tool to do that for you.” Do what? Take the pictures. Edit the pictures while maintaining authenticity of content? Go in and schedule daily posts for 4 accounts on 2 platforms with robust and chronologically relevant content per platform according to current trends that cycle weekly according to our demographic’s (not platform average) viewing patterns? It’ll write them, but that’s the start and end of it 🤦♀️

They told me to start thinking about what little things I do that I could give to ai. They said, what would you do with 2 more hours everyday? I’m like. Go to the beach? Read a book? Not do more difficult and complicated labor for you at the same rate, that’s for damn sure

Months ago my department was forced to let go of our marketing person because “AI could take marketing over.” My boss has simply taken over majority of marketing, AI has made no real efficiency upgrades. The work just trickles over to the rest of us

I view my AI as Emerac from the movie Desk Set: a tool to enable me to do my job better, and help improve my work product, not replace me. LOL I also set it up with droll and dry commentary to make it work more entertaining.

My leadership knows I'm fast and efficient and had brought up how I need to think about sustainability so I don't get burnt out. I pushed back on adding yet another project that isn't an OKR to my plate because I'm on two major OKRs and have several small projects that are essentially clean ups from others messing stuff up. My director, who suddenly loved AI, said I could have AI do XYZ. But we are only allowed to use basic copilot, which she said sucks. They won't pay for a business account for any AI and we aren't allowed to have a personal paid one...so...

Ha! And it turns out Sarah, has been the one getting all the efficiencies because she was the only one who knew how the work was done and therefore knew how to effectively prompt Claude in the first place.
