@zefanya77388: Michael Douglas has made a bombshell admission about the moment he threatened Hollywood legend Julia Roberts in a drunken rage. The 82-year-old star made the revelation in his new memoir, One Helluva Ride, which recounts his rise to fame alongside his struggles with drink and drugs. The incident occurred in 1990 while Douglas was producing the horror film Flatliners, which starred Roberts and her then-fiancé Kiefer Sutherland. Douglas arrived at an after-party with his young son Cameron, admitting he was heavily intoxicated at the time. He claims he saw Roberts putting her arm around his son and nuzzling him at the bar. Believing his son looked stunned, a drunk Douglas confronted the Pretty Woman star and lashed out at her. "I told her: 'Take your hands off my son and take that Golden Globe and stick it where the sun don't shine'," he recalled. The producer later admitted his judgment was clouded by alcohol and that he had crossed a line with the most in-demand young actress in Hollywood. Douglas sent Roberts roses as an apology and later apologised to both her and Sutherland in person. "Luckily, they forgave me enough to get through that and finish the picture. I remained friends with Kiefer. Julia, not so much." Writing on the sleeve of his book, Douglas admitted that playing flawed American men throughout his career was "not exactly a stretch" for him. #NewsForYou See less
