@japdmedia26: Hialeah, Florida — A local police officer was taken into custody after allegedly attacking her boyfriend during a breakup. Marcia Sangronis was arrested following an incident at her residence. The alleged victim flagged down nearby patrol officers around 10 a.m. after escaping the home. He told law enforcement that Sangronis became angry during a discussion regarding his career plans. When the victim attempted to end the relationship, Sangronis blocked the doorway to prevent him from exiting. "The victim said when he told her he wanted to end things, the defendant became upset and stood in front of the doorway to prevent him from exiting the residence," according to the affidavit. "The victim said he tried reaching for the doorknob, when the defendant said to him, 'You are not allowed to leave.' The victim attempted again to reach for the doorknob to leave when the defendant started to attack him". Authorities documented multiple bite marks and scratches on the victim's body and face. Sangronis was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and was later released on a $1,000 bond with a court order to stay away from the victim. Her employer, the North Bay Village Police Department, confirmed she has been relieved of duty with pay pending the ongoing investigation. "The North Bay Village Police Department holds all its personnel to the highest standards of conduct and fully accountable for their actions on and off duty," the department said in a statement. #Hialeah #Florida #UnitedStates #MarciaSangronis #japd
