How are you going to replace Boone heading into a lockout? The new guy won’t be able to talk to players or staff after Dec 1st. And when the season gets shortened, there will be virtually no spring training. That’s a bad recipe for a new manager. No top tier candidate will be on the move this offseason with the lockout coming up.

All this talk is for nothing. They are gonna say we didn’t get a chance to run it back because of the injuries. They’ll say “we’re gonna run it back again because we believe we have all the pieces of the puzzle” etc etc. which on one hand isn’t wrong either. If they had Rodon , Stanton, judge all the guys all year that may have went a lot differently I’m sure. On the other hand, they are putting together and buying wins over a 162 game span and accepting huge strikeout percentages and iffy defense to get there. October isn’t 162 games.
