stop hating on universes beyond when magic gets lazy with its staple characters. "oh Jace went to a new plain let's depict that by giving him a scry ability" that's just as boring as the argument you're making yet magic players have been eating it up for years

Do I LIKE it? Not particularly. Do I appreciate that they're at least trying to make it more in line with Magic's aesthetic? Yes, barely, but yes. If UB has to be forced, this would be the poison I'd have to pick

I’m genuinely getting tired of Marvel sets in magic. spider-man set the bar in hell, Marvel superheroes was okay not too bad I bought a few packs but it’s just getting out of hand all I see is X-men and now this set I’m just getting sick of the Marvel stuff

So, heres a question: Why dont we have a DC set yet? Like, we've got, what, 3 or 4 Marvel sets with this, but nothing for the other giant superhero franchise? Its just crazy to me that Big Wheel got a card before Batman

see if this and final fantasy were the only UB sets we got so far (plus MAYYYYBE lord of the rings) I wouldnt be mad because despite the set not being something I like, it's not egregiously bad on a conceptual level and it somewhat fits magic's existing theming. plus getting to make an original story allows for bottom up design to work too. but alas
