saw a tweet that said "deadlock is being developed with infinite money by developers who have never been rushed" and I think that really is the best way to put this game in perspective. it could really only be valve to make this game. it's been playable since 2024 and they haven't even made a single attempt to monetize it whatsoever. it's an INSANELY difficult game and it's not gonna be for everyone, but it's actually hard to imagine a "better" game ever being made in the current landscape

the joy and passion going into it is so palpable that, despite the fact that i don’t like pvp games even a little bit, i’m kinda obsessed with deadlock. i don’t play it but it’s the first game of this kind that i’ve enjoyed watching others play.
