As mama with in home nursing. It helps so much! Yes, a stranger in your home can be rough and intrusive but trust me they do not care if your home is messy. (Dirty is different then messy)

Take it from the CNA. They became apart of my family. I babysat for years all three boys were in my wedding. They came to see me after my first baby in the hospital!! It will be great prob bumbs to get the right people but you’ve got this!!

To take some of the weight off your shoulders. Even if you DO choose a nurse and you realize a week, a month, a year in, that it’s not a right fit, YOU can choose to end it. If you see anything that makes you uncomfortable or if it doesn’t seem like the nurse clicks with your kids, then just say it’s not a good fit and move on. We’ve had a few come and work a few shifts and it was obvious it wouldn’t work out long term. I felt terrible in the beginning doing it but it’s for my kids. If they’re not comfortable then it needs to change.

it can be hard to find a good fit, but when you do it’s awesome. and it kind of is like having a nanny, which is why I loved my job, you get to have such a special relationship with the kids too. my home health kid was even in my wedding and is still part of our lives 4 years after he stopped needing nursing!

As a nurse that specifically works in pediatric home health, we are there to make your lives easier. Honestly our “clients” become our own children. Anything that happens to them, we feel the same way that the parents feel. The children and parents quickly become a part of our own extended family.
