You can relax. One of the biggest, continuing, and ever improving public works in Vegas over the last 20 years has been the storm drainage system. They have installed countless miles of storm washes, overflow reservoirs, and tunnels to effectively handle water, better than ever before..If you would have lived here in the late 1990s, then you would have seen real flooding..A half inch of rain stopped this town cold. It was obscenely obsolete, and thwy have done a fantastic job catching up, accomplishing huge improvements.

Honestly, just be prepared because we never know out here. Back in the mid 90s it stormed BAD for a few days and we were stranded at the top of Ann road waiting for them to clear boulders and shit which washed up when it flooded out of the road. Have water handy, fill a bucket in case everything goes out so you can flush, a few candles… ya know :) stuff we should have handy (currently trying to find our lighters since my kid took them for candles). Stay safe if something does happen! It will dry up soon ❤️
