Oh yes, THIS! I keep my personal finances in the group chat! 😂 I talk about money for a living, but I’ve never been comfortable with the whole “how much I made this month” or “budget my paycheck with me” type of content. Especially considering the purpose of my work and the community I serve. For nearly 10 years, I’ve been intentional about making sure my work centers the financial realities of my community, not my personal financial success. I want people to see themselves in the conversations I create, not feel like they’re watching my finances from the outside looking in.
