Major eyewall winds from Hurricane Isaias are moving directly onshore. ​Critical Storm Location & Radar Details ​Eyewall Center & Front: National Weather Service Doppler radar and hurricane aircraft reconnaissance indicate the intense eyewall is pushing onshore across a line spanning: ​18 miles south of Pensacola Beach ​11 miles south of Mary Esther ​18 miles south of Destin ​17 miles south of Santa Rosa Beach ​Storm Movement: Moving directly north at approximately 15 miles per hour (14 knots). ​Areas Under Immediate Danger ​Counties: Southwestern Walton County, Southern Okaloosa County, Southern Santa Rosa County, and Southeastern Escambia County in the Florida Panhandle. ​Impacted Communities: Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, West Pensacola, Wright, Fort Walton Beach, Ensley, Warrington, Niceville, Destin, Eglin Air Force Base, Pace, Milton, Valparaiso, Gulf Breeze, Goulding, Mary Esther, Bagdad, Ocean City, and Lake Lorraine. ​Emergency Protective Actions ​Take Shelter Immediately: Treat these sustained eyewall winds with the same urgency as an approaching tornado. Move directly into an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy structure, completely away from exterior walls and glass windows. ​Protect Yourself: Get underneath heavy, sturdy furniture such as a workbench or heavy table.
