For some reason, I was already following this restaurant. And then I went back and looked at some point in time. She did a petty Betty post about opening her restaurant where an ex wanted to open a barbershop, and I’m here for that kind of revenge. The owner clearly has a good sense of humor and a great talent for cooking @Thymewellspentcafe

I *think* the Monte Cristo was created by a casual dining spot called Bennigans that was similar to Applebees or TGI Fridays but went out of business a long time ago. I also think the movie Office Space was a spoof on Bennigans server clothing rules. The original was a ham, turkey, and cheese sandwiched dipped and cooked like battered French toast with a berry jam dipping sauce on the side. Since they’re out of business, it’s now open source and available a number of places.
