@dark.knight0492: "HEARTBROKEN": The Gainesville Fire Department is rallying support for one of its own after an unimaginable tragedy yesterday, in which Sammy Skelton was walking in a shopping center with his 1-year-old in his arms when a driver backing into a handicap space inadvertently accelerated over the curb and struck them. The boy, who would have turned 2 in December, did not survive. A fundraiser for the family is asking people to "join us in lifting these precious parents in prayer as they walk through an unimaginable time." "Samuel and Kiana Skelton are two of the most humble, caring, and genuine people you could ever meet. Our department is heartbroken by this tragedy, and we ask that our community surround the Skelton family with love, prayers, and support as they navigate this incredibly difficult time," the Gainesville Fire Department said. https://www.11alive.com/article/news/community/gainesville-firefighter-tragedy-1-year-old-son-lost-in-shopping-center-accident-community-support/85-b96f5ea4-605b-43d7-9993-ff6759767318?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_11Alive #sammyskelton #gainsvillefiredepartment #tragedy #sad #fundraiser
