I’m currently in school to be a cardiac sonographer but I’ve been in vet med for the past 6 years, I know when I leave a huge piece of me will stay with every single one of my patients.

I’m pursuing my career to be a PA but I spent my whole life to work and be a veterinarian. Worked in vet med for 5 years and it’s so hard to leave. I never regretted working in vet med but I know my passion is somewhere else. I’m so proud of you stranger. Thank you for this video.

I left it last Wednesday after nearly 7 years at the clinic I was at, and damn near 20 years total since I first got into it. I loved it, loved my patients, but my mental health is absolutely wrecked.

12 years in vet med but in school for radiology. I have to think of 50 year old me in the future. I’m not going to have enough money to retire or enough energy to safely restrain big dogs if I stay in vet med.

Left vet med 2 years ago, after 9 years, for the human side of healthcare. I will always love vet med, it’s a huge part of the person I am today. But I feel more valued and respected that I ever did. I miss the animals and the job itself but not the management and toxicity.🥺

we have a higher burnout rate than teachers. TEACHERS. so nervous ab that (not even mentioning clients, pay, etc) as a person who started vet med a year ago and started tech school 3 weeks ago. all i know is that ill be doing what i love until i cant
