@hotnew73: Buccaneers Rookie QB Jalon Daniels Celebrates His First Win With His Mom In A Sweet Thursday Night Football Moment Jalon Daniels got his first NFL win. And he did not celebrate it alone. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie quarterback, 23, led his team to a 24-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, October 8, in Arlington, Texas. He was starting in place of injured quarterback Baker Mayfield. Daniels finished 19 for 25 for 189 yards. After the game, he joined the Prime Video crew for an interview. Then he asked for one more guest. “Ma, you gotta pull up,” he said. His mother, Star, 47, joined him. Host Charissa Thompson said, “Your mother Star is beaming.” “It is indescribable, this moment is so big,” Star said. She turned to her son. “I’m so proud of you.” It has been a long road. Daniels had only two scholarship offers out of high school in Lawndale, California. He played six years at Kansas. He went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft. Tampa signed him as a free agent in May, and he won the backup job in training camp. According to Prime, he is the only undrafted rookie quarterback since 1967 to start a game 8-for-8. “Six months ago, if you would have told me that my first win would have been on a Thursday night, Prime football game, I don’t know what I would have told you,” he told reporters. Would you have been as proud as Star? #player #Buccaneers #ThursdayNightFootball #NFL #SportsNews
