Episode 3 of my small group phonemic awareness series with @hand2mind 🤍📚 Today I’m giving you a quick look at part of a lesson where my students are working with the TH sound and identifying where they hear it in words! I modeled an example, we did one together, and then students took over and practiced independently. One of my favorite things about this toolkit is how HANDS-ON every lesson is. Students are constantly moving, manipulating, and working with sounds instead of just sitting and listening. Today we used sound boxes + chips, and later in the lesson students use magnetic wands to blend sounds together. I also love that the lessons follow a gradual release, so I can model it, practice it with my students, and then let them take the lead. Super low prep, super interactive, and SO easy to follow when you’re planning small group instruction.
