I still think this show is pretty good but all the criticisms against it are absolutely valid as much as I adored Kyle Chandlers performance we do need a younger hal for the future. I think Ulrich has real potential as Sinestro since hes a fantastic actor Banshee is great proof of this, I hated how they did Sinestro in the finale he felt so sidelined. I have faith Season 2 will be better but dear god if the Kilowog rumors are true dont have him appear in some bum ass disguise

It was cool at the start but they fumbled the whole message of what lanterns are supposed to be. gl are not fearless they feel fear being a green lantern is having the will to overcome yr fear nd they ain’t build on that enough plus killing off Hal like that was crazy. It wasn’t a bad Green Lantern show. I just don’t think y’all get the purpose of the show. It’s an origin story for John Stewart. It’s not an adventure, it’s a coming of age story. That’s why it ends with John making the mantle his own. What better depiction of willpower can there be beyond breaking yourself out of what everyone has been trying to program you to be your entire life? It ends with John not beholden to anyone but himself. The symbolism of him flying at the end after being unable to the entire season was him freeing himself of everyone else’s tethers holding him on the ground. It’s actually a great Green Lantern story.
